When Gavin Lodge was expecting his first child, he wanted a slick, masculine diaper bag that announced, “I’m proud to be a new dad and I haven’t lost my sense of style.” No such bag existed. So, despite being a Broadway actor with no business or fashion experience, he put pen to paper and designed the bag himself.
After many bike trips over bridges to factories in Brooklyn (in 4-hour babysitting stints), and after many newbie design mistakes, he had a working sample that landed in Barneys (RIP) and now Fox Magazine.
In addition to growing E.C. Knox, Gavin is a political strategist, still an occasional actor, as well as daddy blogger doling out unsolicited parenting nonsense.
